“ I really enjoyed my coffee date with my best friend here. The barista was very nice and very skilled. I had a savory overturn which was delicious and spicy. They also serve sliced breads, cookies, pastries, cookie sandwiches, cakes and other delicious beautiful desserts. Inside they also have unique gifts and California made items. Outside are a few tables but mostly everyone grabs their things to go. Parking is Street only and can be busy on the weekends. ”
“ Perfect stop for a quick bite and coffee. There is indoor and outdoor seating with a beautiful atmosphere. Staff was warm, friendly, and welcoming. The crescent roll sandwich we got was very delicious! ”
“ We visit Claytons Bakery and Bistro often and were always thrilled with our experience! From the moment we walk in, the aroma of freshly baked goods are heavenly, and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The croissants are the perfect balance of rich and flaky, and the bacon cupcake for our pup has her begging for more. We appreciate the gluten free options as well. I highly recommend this bakery for anyone looking for a treat! ”
“ I was visiting Coronado and needed a breakfast spot to try so we checked out Claytons Bakery Bistro which looked very promising. Started off with a Lavender Vietnamese Cold Brew which was rich, perfectly sweet, and it was so good that I even got one togo. The space here is elegant and the service was pleasant, it really enhanced the experience. We had a few pastries starting with the Swiss cheese bagel with herb schmear, I really liked it because it was savory and surprisingly light. The monkey bread was sweet and soft, and the croissant was exceptionally buttery and flaky. The only complaint I would say is the butter for the croissant was not easily spreadable since it was on the firmer side. As for my main dish, I had a roasted turkey and brie sandwich served on toasted sourdough. I liked how the sandwich had a good crunch and was also garlicky. The potato chips were crunchy, easy on the salt and overall I was very impressed with this place, definitely worth the visit. ”
“ This is an adorable little bakery. The decor and ambience is outstanding inside the store as well as the outdoor patio dining area. There is a large variety of breads and pastries available, many of which are made in house. They also serve beverages. I ordered the butter croissant and it was flaky and light. There is also an attached Bistro, but I only visited the bakery shop and can only comment to the bakery side. UPDATE I have visited several more times during my stay to both the Bistro and Bakery and Im still just as impressed as on my first visit. The attention to detail and presentation is outstanding. I purchased the pumpkin spice chai tea iced and a beautifully decorated floral chocolate cupcake from the bakery side. Both were excellent. The cupcake was moist, and the frosting perfectly complimented the cake. It was the perfect amount of sweetness without being overly sweet. At the Bistro, I ordered the beignets with fresh strawberries and lemon curd and my husband tried the butter croissant with jam. They were excellent. ”
“ Lovely place and delicious food! I had an oatmilk latte and it was incredible as well. They were quite busy so our server didnt check on us after bringing our food until we were done eating, but I would come back again. Our only other annoyance is that for the Dutch baby you pay extra for one tiny ounce of syrup. That seemed a little pricey. Maybe bring your own syrup? ”
“ Very cute bakerybistro on a main street on Coronado Island. Seating both inside and out, with a small back patio seating many covered from the sun. Much attention to detail with an Old World feel. Food was fresh. My friend ordered quiche with fruit. Fruit was fresh and ample. I ordered the seasonal quiche, which was a bit dry but overall experience was excellent. ”
“ I wanted to try this cute bakery last time but didnt have time. A gal can only eat so much! Fortunately, this past trip to Coronado I was able to have lunch here and I adored it! It might be my new favorite. I was quickly sat on the back outdoor patio at a nice and quiet table of my choice. My server was excellent. Super sweet and very competent and attentive. She followed up, but left me to enjoy my meal in peace. I saw several things on the menu that looked wonderful but in the end I went with the Lavender Vietnamese Coffee as well as the Egg, Spinach and Tomato sandwich on a warm buttered croissant. The sandwich was excellent and the croissant was superb. I had a slight issue with my coffee being too sweet and it was immediately fixed. After my meal, I walked next door to the bakery and everything looked wonderful. Huge cookies and cupcakes and whole cakes. The staff here were just as friendly. Highly, highly recommend you come here for a meal. ”
